living with RLS

I was diagnosed with RLS about 4 years ago, the doctor prescribed me Pramipexole .25 mg tablets and they work so so. Every night before I go to sleep I watch television in bed for a while, then the RLS starts up. It lasts anywhere from 20 min. to 2 hours.
I read a story on another blog about a guy who changed his eating habits (timing)and start eating dinner a little later than his usual.
About a week ago I thought I would give it a try. My RLS problems/symptoms have disappeared. I am super pleasantly surprised!
I take the medicine with my dinner now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this remedy keeps going.

  1. Well, there is some good news in this world. I am now 9 continuous days and nights without the pesky RLS. The only change was I moved my dinner time a little later in the evening and I take the .5 mg of pramipexole with dinner. I'm hoping like hell this trend continues, fingers crossed.

  2. Wow! How awesome, ! I love reading stories like yours. I hope the change in eating habits continues to be effective and that you can get off the medication someday. Do you mind checking in a few weeks or months down the road to let us know how it's going? Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
