This has really helped my restless legs. When they start to bother me, I just rub it on my legs. A friend gave it to me and it’s amazing.

I saw that remedy at Cracker Barrel and wondered about it!

Hi Lori, I wrote the other day and couldn't get it to post on the other site. Same today so I'm trying on this site and I copied the message and will put it here. And another lady (sorry I don't remember your name!) spoke to me. Here it is: I hope it posts.
Lori.Foster Hi Lori, I'm sorry, I did answer your post, but I guess I forgot to hit post. My new life is forgetting things...I do have a neurologist. I've had RLS for many a year. Went up to 6.0 on Pramipexole because on the way it stopped working, causing the increase. Then neurologist decided to back me off Pram which took a long, long time and in December I finished with it and started Lyrica. Lyrica seemed to work for a couple of weeks then the walking and no sleeping episode began (I'm wondering if a "Perfect Storm" arose because of those events...) So now I'm on 600 mg Gaba 3 x a day and 1.0 mg Pram 2 x a day. So far so good...
My PCP says it will happen again...what? He can foresee the future? That's why he wants me to go to a pain doctor...to be prepared when it hits again.
The first pain doc was like going to a methadone clinic and he didn't even look at my labs but gave me a list of supplements and an RX for hydrocodone which two pharmacies said that they do not fill his RX! So I stopped shopping around to have it filled as I didn't ask for it and my PCP will prescribe it if I need it. So now I'm looking at having two bottom molars pulled and cataract surgeries on both eyes...If it rains, it pours!
Thanks for your concern and for being there when all hell broke loose for me!

Hi
Thanks for the update. I am glad the current medication combination is working. I am guessing your doctor is concerned about worsening pain because of the possiblity of augmentation with pramipexole. Here is an article about augmentation that might interest you: https://restlesslegssyndrome.sleep-disorders.net/augmentation. Opioids tend to be ineffective for nerve pain, so you might be better off without that pain doctor anyway. One interesting thing about RLS is that so many people stumble upon odd treatments that help, like the Old Amish Muscle Tonic. Some members have found relief from pain point massage. Others accidentally found relief when they had back surgery for other issues. Some find TENS units are helpful. My only guess is that different approaches are effective for different people because RLS might very well have a variety of causes. Don't give up on finding lasting relief.
Cataract surgery and two molar extractions? Yikes! It sure did pour for you. Have you decided which you will do first?
