Well, let me tell you that I am now 70 years old and have suffered four heart attacks so far. I have up to 13 stents installed in the arteries leading to my heart. I am 5 ft 8 in and weigh 190 pounds.
I feel great except for the RLS that has been annoying me for at least the last 30 years.
My doctor prescribed me Pramipexole, a .25 mg dose. I take two of these an hour before bedtime. They work most of the time.
I noticed that if I drink Coke (mixed with rum, no more than two glasses) I stay awake and my legs are twitching a lot. Also chicken plays the same on me.
I tried one gentleman’s suggestion of having a bowl of cornflakes and it worked great last night. I sleet like a baby and my legs were calm.
But deep down, I think my issues with RLS are caused by all the medication I take for my heart.
I do hope that I can find a solution soon as this is really depriving me of many good nights' sleep. Thank you.
