Comparative Effectiveness of Treatments for RLS

During my research because someone else's article got me curious about something, I came across this comprehensive study comparing the different RLS treatment options out there.

It includes nonpharmacological and pharmacological options.

I thought I would share this with you all because of how thorough it is.

  1. Ray - Thanks for (re)sharing this. Do you know if it has been updated since you posted it in 2021? BarnGir1

    1. Thank you Lori for all your responses. Your answers are always so helpful. I don't know why I am still surprised how much more there is to learn about RLS. BarnGir1

    2. Thanks, ! Even the doctors and researchers are still learning about the causes and effective treatments for RLS. Let's hope they keep it up until they find a cure. Have a wonderful holiday! - Lori (Team Member)

  2. It always helps to share thank you. I am now at the highest dose of Dopamine drug (pramipexole) for nights but Now I require daytime relief. My doctor & I discussed this issue today & although he is getting up to date knowledge from me & his websites neither of us wants to look at Opioids. Now its up to me to begin research once more so that I can try & come up with the best option for me. Unfortunately its a very difficult road to venture down.

    1. Hi yes I think it makes my peripheral neuropathy worse

    2. I can see how the nerves might become irritated, . One the other hand, maybe it will stimulate the nerves and help with healing over time. The nervous system is still such a mystery to doctors and researchers despite all the advances in medicine. They say peripheral neuropathy is generally irreversible, yet some people do see major improves over a few months or years. Thanks for sharing what helps. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
