Does Ashwaghanda help river symptoms of RLS?

Has anyone tried ashwaghanda to relieve the symptoms of RLS?

  1. I just wanted to say that upon reading up on this plant, I discovered it's part of the nightshade family. I thought this page on alternative treatment might be helpful as well. https://www.webmd.com/diet/supplement-guide-ashwagandha

"Large doses can cause upset stomach, diarrhea, and vomiting. Risks. Talk to a doctor before using ashwagandha if you have any health conditions, including cancer, diabetes, thyroid problems, bleeding disorders, ulcers, lupus, multiple sclerosis, or rheumatoid arthritis. Ashwagandha might interfere with thyroid tests"

Have you tried it and has it helped? As always, we recommend chatting with your doctor before trying something new!

    1. I have never heard of this so I am doing a google search right now.

Withania somnifera, known commonly as ashwagandha or winter cherry, is an annual evergreen shrub in the Solanaceae or nightshade family that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa.

I'll respond with more after I do more reading.
