Help please

Hi there,
I’ve had what I think is RLS/RAS for 4 years, it is pain down my whole right side of my body mainly in my right arm and right calf but when I think about it it is sort of a dull ache down the whole of my right side. Moving helps relieve the pain, I had a blood test and they told me my iron was within range. The pain doesn’t come often but when I have a flair up it is unbearable! The pain is a sort of dull ache and massaging it or moving is the only thing that relieves it. I am losing sleep, I haven’t been back to my GP since I spoke with them 2 years ago as it hasn’t bothered me but this last week it has been horrendous. Any suggestions or advice would be great. I am based in the UK

  1. Hi . It has been a while since you posted. I wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Did you get a diagnosis for your pain and treatment or have the nerves settled down? I hope all is well. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi . It sounds like it's time for another trip to the doctor. We are not medical experts, so we can only guess as to what is going on, but it does seem to be nerve-related. Have you ever seen a neurologist or an orthopedic? The fact that massaging it or moving it has helped in the past is a good sign. That might mean a nerve is pinched and that it can be treated with physical therapy or surgery. You really need a good evaluation from a specialist. Hopefully, your doctor will refer you now that the pain is more consistent and more debilitating. I hope this helps and that you get some answers. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
