Light at the end of the disastrous tunnel.

I was diagnosed with RLS 9 months ago while seeing a PA. The PA increased my Gabapentin dosage by one pill which did not help. I was then given Ropinirole for which didn't help. After the PA telling me their was nothing else she could do, I requested from my clinic to see an MD.

I was assigned to one who was a resident MD and he changed my condition immensely by referring me to the infusion clinic for a series of 5 iron serum infusions. After my 4th one, my symptoms were almost gone and I got the best sleep I had in 9 months. Today I finished my 5th one and feel great. I go in for blood work in 2 weeks to see the results of my Ferritin levels which were low from the lab work I took after the first visit with my new MD.

I had never heard of nor read about iron infusions until now, but the wonderful nurses I met during this time were on top of their game about it. They told me that this is a newer form of treatment that is becoming more popular in the last year. I am totally elated with this outcome and wanted to share it with all of you.

Regards
Rob
