Rls, sleep apnea, allergies, diabetes and panic

Gosh. It's a major ordeal to prepare for bed. Medications to take, high protein snack to eat. Cpap to ready, relaxation to engage. Then there's my dental hygiene, my skin care, prepping for the morning. Once I am able to fall asleep after all this activity it's not easy waking up. Whew. Self care is work. It's also self respect. 😌 most days, nights I believe I am worth calming down before I get in bed so I can be in the best frame of mind to tell my legs it's OK however they may need to be. Sometimes I am not able to soothe them and they just twitch and drag me through a rocky bumpy night. I try. And that's good enough.

  1. Greetings Bambi, welcome to the community!

Yes, getting ready for bed is no easy task, it can often feel like a chore. But you are right, you are worth it! Self-care is so crucial and even though it can be quite time-consuming at points, it's always worth it.

I wrote this article about why I practice self-care daily https://restlesslegssyndrome.sleep-disorders.net/living/self-care

Do you do the same thing to relax every night or do you have a couple of different things you do to change things up?
