This may help you

A month ago i started fasting each week. From sunday night until tuesday night - 44 hours.
I also only eat for a 1 hour window from tuesday to friday. Weekends i tend to do the same but do treat myself to a takeaway or two over it plus anything i fancy. Life is for enjoying is my motto. Anyhow, coupled with only buying from the local produce independant butchers and a locally sourced grocers, along with walking at least 20 miles a week, and still not eating the sugary treats like cakes, sweets, biscuits etc. My RLS has gone. This all seems to work for. The benefits of water and black coffee fasting really works. Not that i was obese i just wanted to watch the tummy as a lot of fellas all seem to have them. I do not want that at all. My weight is coming off, and i look toned. Weirdly, after sporting my Billy Corgan shaved head i decided to grow my hair back and it seemed to speed that process. No kidding. But the lack of RLS is the cherry on the cake. Gone. And that is a great thing.

  1. Amazing work, Mark! That requires a ton of commitment and discipline, and I'm so glad you're reaping the rewards. Question, how do you manage hunger outside of your eating window? That would be a big issue for me. Also, as long as we are talking about food, what are some of your favorite meals to enjoy? Take good care of yourself and thanks for sharing your success with us! -Melissa, team member

    1. that is what worried me but on my first long fasting after that difficult part my hunger passed. After that it became easier each time forward. The results seem to be quick as well for me so that has helped spur me on. Local farm butchers: lamb & mint burgers, various flavoured sausages, local made steak with stilton pies. From the local grocers: fresh eggs, baby potatoes, vine tomatoes, and runner beans. I was never a big fan of vegetables before. I guess that is because the supermarket ones have little taste. Now i love them. I eat for a one hour window between 5pm and 8pm depending on my day. Then its water and black coffee between. The snacking and sugary, processed junk, crisps, sweets, cakes are all gone thanks to my RLS. That i take as a positive as it has blighted me since i was a lad. I do let myself have whatever i want saturday and sunday but i have gone off the junk now so thats probably one take away. Hope that helps.

  2. Thanks. I try to avoid doctors and hospitals unless i am really ill or injured. Seems the doctor just consults google but thats not a topic for on here i guess lol. I see no problem in keeping up this practise as its nothing but beneficial to me and there is no hardship. Especially since my sugar addiction is gone. Also "food noise" in my head that used to make me snack. Breaking them did require self discipline. Now i view RLS as my body warning me that all that sugar is not good so its a curse thats turned into a good thing.

    1. What fantastic news, ! I hope you are able to sustain the lifestyle and that it continues to be effective for you. How wonderful to finally be symptom-free! Has your doctor had any thoughts on the changes or have you not been back to see anyone since your symptoms have resolved? I am just curious as to how the medical community might react to such a successful holistic solution. Thanks for sharing what helps. Keep us posted, if you don't mind. Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
