The journey

I've has RLS for at least 40 years and I'm 72. For a long time ropinerol had worked. I then augmentation hit. More needed..earlier in the day. I have tried all. Last resort was neupro patch. I got on program so they were no cost to me. I felt like it was a miracle. I have been on the patch 9mos. I can no longer fall asleep. Awful night legs are back. My only other option is opioid and I'm scared to death.

  1. Oh, no. I wish the patch had remained effective, . I can understand your reluctance to try opioids. Not only might they be addictive, but they are often ineffective on nerve-related pain. Has your doctor ever suggested antihistamine? A friend recently told me they helped her RLS more than opioids. Here is an article about RLS treatments: https://restlesslegssyndrome.sleep-disorders.net/treatment. I hope you find something in the article you haven't tried that helps. Gentle hugs. - Lori (Team Member)
