Alternative ways to take RLS drugs

I only get 4-6 weeks relief from traditional RLS prescriptions before augmentation becomes an issue. I tend not to take them to avoid making things worse and the tapering off effects.

Has anyone tired to take their meds interchangeably as a way of avoiding augmentation?

For example:
2 weeks of X drug followed by 2 weeks of Y - and maybe even 1-2 extras in the rotation.

Alternatively, have you tried taking an RLS drug as a reactive measure, thus avoiding the accumulation that can cause augmentation?

  1. What great questions, . I don't have any experience with this, but I hope you get some feedback from other members. Have you talked about these strategies with your doctor? If so, what does your doctor think? Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
