Massage oil?

Has anyone thought about using massage oil to relief symptoms of RLS, I don’t even know if there is such a thing, but I feel it would really benefit, massaging when symptoms are present!

  1. The one thing I have heard some people here in the community mention is lavender oil. Lavender is known to have a relaxing, soothing effect and can be used to help you sleep. Oils never really worked for me, but everyone is different so it could be worth a try! Peppermint oil has a cooling effect. It's important to research a good quality oil -- there are a lot of cheap and counterfeit products out there, so be careful. Also, some oils are not safe to be used directly on the skin and should be diluted. Let us know if you try using oils and how it helps you! -Melissa, team member

    1. Hi ! This is such a great question. I hope you get responses from people who have found oils that helps. Massage, in general, can often be helpful for reducing symptoms. Here is an article about massage guns that might interest you: https://restlesslegssyndrome.sleep-disorders.net/living/massage-gun. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)
