Requip help
Has anyone had any issues with Requip (Ropinarole) causing extreme back and leg pain? It’s also causing intense migraines and acid reflux (been on omeprazole for 2 years and isn’t helping much in this situation), sleeplessness, and sharp tingling in one foot. One weird thing I’m also experiencing is a metallic taste for hours after taking a pill. I can’t take Neurontin, so Ropinarole is basically is a last ditch effort. I’m losing so much sleep that it’s beginning to take a serious toll on my mental health. If you’re experiencing back/leg pain, what is your doctor doing to mitigate? Any suggestions for any of the above side effects? I appreciate any advice!
Thank you for your response! I haven’t tried the devices or opioids. My GP who has been doing my med management took me off Requip today and is referring me back to a neurologist, since my last one packed up and moved, which will take 4-6 months to get in as a new patient. I’m just sick of all the run-around from drs. The fact that I now have to face a major portion of the year suffering nearly 24 hours a day with untreated RLS is almost unbearable. I also have unmanageable migraines and I swear drs are gaslighting me into thinking that none of it is as bad as it is.
I'm glad you'll be seeing a neurologist, but I wish it didn't take so long to get an appointment. Did you ask to be out on a cancelation list? I really hope you get some feedback from others here, RLS is such a strange disease. It can have multiple different causes and that often means different treatments might be successful for different people. People have stumble on some really odd methods of relief.

. Unfortunately, back and leg swelling and discomfort are listed side effects of Requip. I wish you weren't experiencing them.
