RLS

Neurologist stopped my pramipexole. Started 75 mg pregabalin and.5mg HCLRopinirole. Both before bed. My symptoms were worse. Slept a total of 4 hrs over last two nights. It's Saturdawhich means two more nights of thisnot sleeping!! Qnyone experience this?

  1. Sorry for the late response. I am sorry to hear that ropinirole made things so much worse for you. I am glad to hear that you decided to call the Teledoc and he changed things up for you. That's amazing to hear how long you slept for the first night and the second night. I can't imagine going so long with sleeping only 5hrs a night.

How are things doing for you now?

    1. Thank you for your trying to help. After 4 hrs of sleeping in20 mins increments in a 48 hr period I was out of my mind. Called Teledoc and he told me to stop ropinirole and take 1 mg of my old RX of pramipexole(I was taking .5mg for about 3 yrs). That did the trick. Slept 12 hrs first night and 11 hrs second night. First time in about a year I slept longer than 5 hrs.

      1. Hi - Just wanted to follow-up here to see if you're still seeing some positive results from this change in treatment?

      1. I take 5 mg of Ropinirole every night. Maybe try taking just the Ropinirole or take two if that doesn't work. My doc started me out on 10 and it hurt my stomach so I backed down to 5. By cutting the pill in half. Could be the pregablin and Ropinirole was too much for you?

        1. thank you! My doc took me off repinirole and back on an increased dose of pramipexole and within 30 mins symptoms were gone. Thanks to all who took the time to respond. Hope you all get to feel the beauty of still limbs.

        2. That's fantastic. We have to keep in constant communication with our providers when these things happen, though it is sometimes good to go armed with information from research and the experience of others so you are armed with discussion points. I'm glad you found relief! Kim (Team Member)
